Tray B NeSmith ACNP-BC/ Practice Owner

Tray earned his Masters as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University Of Alabama Birmingham. He is an Arab native and has served the Marshall County area for over 7 years as an ACNP working at a local clinic and the MMCN ER, where he strived to ensure that his patients received the best health care possible. Tray now takes the role of both clinician as well as owner of Marshall Primary to continue provide quality health care to the citizens of Marshall County. The Lord has blessed him with 5 amazing children, Jordan, Emma, Christian, Bennett and Rosie. He says without the Lord and his family, this practice would have never been possible

Kathryn Pettit, MD

Dr.Pettit is a board-certified family physician with 15 years of experience in urgent care and primary care. She’s passionate about providing thorough compassionate care and focusing on preventive medicine. Dr. Pettit and her husband, Dr. Ryan Pettit, live in Arab with their two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys coaching volleyball, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Hannah NeSmith- Office Manager

Hannah serves as Office Manager, bringing a strong leadership background and experience overseeing multiple businesses. She leads daily operations with a focus on efficiency, organization, and delivering a high-quality patient experience.

Known for her ability to streamline processes and support both staff and patients, Hannah plays a key role in maintaining a professional, well-run practice. Her leadership style emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and a positive culture where both patients and employees feel valued.

Dr. Victor Sparks MD

Victor L. Sparks, MD is a lifelong native of Arab, Alabama. He was born in the old Arab Hospital & was raised in Arab, where he graduated from high school in 1984. He subsequently graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in 1989 followed by the Doctorate of Medicine degree from The University of Alabama School of Medicine (UAB) in 1994. His residency training was completed in 1997 at the UAB Family Medicine program in Huntsville. He is currently the Physician Director of Emergency Medicine at Marshall Medical Center North where he has been seeing patients in the ER since 1996. He is happily married to the “love of his life & best friend”, Tammy L. Sparks. They have four wonderful children & an amazing son-in-law; Alada & Clint, Caroline, Olivia & Grayson. His desire is to participate in quality, compassionate care all to the glory of God.

CHRISTY DARLING- CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Christy is originally from Albertville, Alabama. She lives in Arab now with her husband, Bruce, and daughter, Anna Kate. In 1993, she started her journey in Healthcare as a phlebotomist at Marshall South, before transferring to Marshall North in 1996, where she met her husband. She says shes been very fortunate to learn both sides of the counter in some great offices over the last 10 years. She is looking forward to this next chapter of her life in Arab, taking care of her people.

Tara Knepper- Billing Director

Tara was born in Michigan, and moved to Arab as a baby with her family. She lives in Arab with her husband Nick. Upon graduating from Brindlee Mountain in 2018, Tara has received her CMA certification, and has been in the medical field for 4 years now. Her goal is to go back to school and complete her RN degree in the future. Tara says she is very fortunate to have started working at Marshall Primary Care, LLC, and cannot wait to grow and continue helping patients in her hometown!

MICHAELA MCCURRY- Patient care coordinator

Michaela is one of the friendly faces you’ll see when you walk through our doors, helping keep everything running smoothly at the front office. An Arab native and proud mom of three, she brings warmth, organization, and a welcoming presence to our clinic every day. Michaela loves connecting with patients and making sure each visit starts off on the right note.

Kaylo Jimenez- certified clinical medical assistant

Kaylo is a bilingual Latina and dedicated medical assistant who brings both skill and heart to the clinic every day. A proud dog mom of two, she finds balance in fresh fruit, lake walks, and staying active—any workout will do. She has a love for the finer things but refuses to pay full price, always hunting for a good deal. An overachiever by nature, she keeps things moving while still tapping into her creative side when inspiration strikes. Usually powered by a Four Knights cold brew… or unwinding with 1800 coconut and pineapple with a Tajín rim.

Dawn Howard- certified clinical medical assistant

Dawn is a Certified Medical Assistant who brings experience, compassion, and a steady presence to the clinic every day. Based in Arab, she’s a proud mom of four and grandma to one, with a heart rooted in family. She’s known for taking care of others both at work and at home, always showing up with reliability and kindness that patients can count on.
